Meet Kinect Solar
Our name comes from the words ‘kinetic’ and ‘connection.’
Kinetic comes from the Greek word kinētikos, meaning “of motion.” It fits our company and our industry: dynamic, energetic, and always in motion. Connection is about creating relationships between people, processes, systems, and the world around us.

About Us
We have been pioneering solutions in the US solar market for more than a decade, with integrated 3PL services and inventory solutions tailored to today’s fast-paced solar industry.
Lauren Carson founded Kinect Solar in 2015 to solve a crucial problem in the industry—finding a better way to sell excess and legacy solar equipment. Kinect Solar was one of the first players in the market to openly publish its pricing, establishing transparency and trust among its growing list of loyal buyers.
Kinect Solar then began working directly with manufacturers to efficiently offload excess inventory, bringing even more quality equipment to buyers in the secondary market at wholesale prices.
In 2021, Kinect Solar acquired solar logistics company SunLogix to integrate equipment sales with specialized solar logistics as part of managed services for manufacturers, developers, and distributors.
Today, Kinect Solar provides the largest solar-ready warehouse network in the nation and is trusted by the biggest names in the industry. In addition, thousands of residential and commercial buyers continue to source equipment from Kinect Solar.

Kinect Cares
We are committed to creating a more sustainable future through Kinect Cares, which includes several initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and give back to our local communities. Key among those is our pledge to plant a tree for every outbound truck that leaves our warehouses. In 2025, that will amount to nearly 5,000 trees through Conservation International where we are proud to be an Emerald Circle member.
Other sustainability efforts include participation in a solar panel recycling program and maintaining a fully remote workforce. We also offer paid volunteer hours to our employees so they can dedicate their time and talents to environmental causes in their local communities.
