Kinect Solar Bolsters Inventory During Supply Chain Crisis with Large Order of Qcells

AUSTIN, Texas, Apr. 4, 2022 Kinect Solar LLC, a leading independent solar equipment distributor, is pleased to announce it has added 40 megawatts (MW) of Qcells solar PV modules to its inventory for immediate purchase.

These modules come at a time when supply chains are experiencing unprecedented constraints amidst record demand for solar. In 2021, the U.S. added 23.6 gigawatts (GWdc) of solar PV capacity despite an 18 percent increase in solar prices. The war in Ukraine and forced lockdowns in China, combined with import tariffs and policy uncertainty, continue to challenge the solar supply chain.

“Installers and developers of all sizes are struggling to find equipment at prices that keep their projects in the black,” said Lauren Carson, CEO at Kinect Solar. “Small- to mid-size businesses are being hit especially hard and are increasingly looking to the secondary solar market to find equipment. We are doing what we can to help our customers keep their solar projects moving forward.”
