What type of equipment do you sell on consignment?
We specialize in PV modules (crystalline or thin-film), inverters, racks, and Balance of System (BOS) components. If it’s used in solar installation, we likely accept it for consignment.
Does the equipment have to be new?
We buy and sell manufacturing overproduction, new, used, aged, discontinued, customer returns, and canceled order items. Original packaging is preferable but we provide repackaging instructions where needed. Proof of ownership is required.
Who sets the price and how are prices determined?
Our procurement team determines the list price based on the equipment and current market conditions. Our goal is to strike the right balance between a quick sale and the best return on your investment. Because we deal exclusively in solar, our team is best suited to guide you to that sweet spot. You accept the terms at your discretion.
Are there any guarantees?
Most customers who list with us have a buyer within a few days or weeks. If we accept an item for consignment, we are confident we can find a buyer for it; however consignment does not guarantee a sale. If you need to finalize a sale quickly, we recommend our cash buyout option instead.
How much do you charge?
We don’t charge our consignors anything to list with us. We take a fee from the final purchase price. You’ll never lose money listing with Kinect Solar, even if your items don’t sell.
When will I get paid?
To ensure secure transactions for both our buyers and sellers, we handle all payments. As soon as your consignment items have been transported to the buyer, you’ll receive payment from Kinect Solar.
What happens if my items don't sell?
If we accept an item for consignment, we are confident we can find a buyer for it; however consignment does not guarantee a sale. In the event your items don’t sell, our team will provide you with new options: re-pricing the items, a possible cash buyout alternative, or removing the items from our listings. Because we require no payment from the consignor, listing with us is risk free.
What about logistics?
